Topic 1: To what extent, if any, do you believe that an elected official’s belief system qualifies them to hold public office or provides the basis of trust? Along similar lines, how might you respond to a self-professed atheist seeking public office?
Topic 2: To what extent do you feel that science is a belief system? Is there a fundamental difference between belief structures in science vs. that of religion? Is either better suited to self-governance?
Topic 3: In what ways, if any, do you feel that a stronger lotus of control (agency) contributes to self-governance? Is it problematic towards the efforts of self-governance? How does religious doctrine or practice influence this behavior?
Topic 4: To what extent do you believe it is feasible to develop an acceptable functional ethical/moral code irrespective of religious doctrine?
